Self-guided vineyard trail £3
Weekdays 10am – 4pm. No need to book.
Pick up a map from the wine shop to guide you through Bardfield Vineyard and the wider Great Lodge Estate. Explore the original vineyard plantings and our newly established vines. The trail will take you through the Great Lodge walled garden, Grade I listed Anne of Cleves Barn, through woodland and over farmland. You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy out in the gardens or vineyard.
Vineyard Tour and Tasting £15
First Thursday of the month; 2nd May, 6th June, 4th July, 1st August, 5th September 11:30 a.m. Please book in advance.
Join us as we take you on a personally guided tour through the Great Lodge estate and Bardfield Vineyard. We’ll explain the work done on the vineyard that leads to the production of our award winning wines. You’ll then have the chance to taste 4 of our wines and learn more about the English wine industry. You are welcome to bring a picnic and spend the rest of the day enjoying the estate. Please allow 1 hour 30 minutes for the Tour and Tasting and the estate closes at 5 p.m.
Private Group Tours (for groups of 10 or more)
We have 3 options which can be arranged for a weekday of your choice, except Tuesday mornings and Fridays.
Group tour and tasting £15 per person
We’ll welcome you with tea and coffee on arrival in our Grade I listed Anne of Cleves barn. The tour will start with a history of Great Lodge , a visit to the alpacas and a walk through the garden before arriving at Bardfield Vineyard. You’ll then have the chance to taste 4 of our wines and learn more about the English wine industry. You are welcome to bring a picnic and spend the rest of the day enjoying the estate. Please allow 1 hour 30 minutes for the Tour and Tasting and the estate closes at 5 p.m.
Group Tour, Tasting and Afternoon Tea £20 per person
As above for the tour and tasting, but following the wine tasting we will serve an afternoon tea in the Anne of Cleves barn.
Group Tour, Tasting and Lunch £22.50 per person
As above for the tour and tasting, but following the wine tasting we will serve a ploughman’s lunch and ice cream in the Anne of Cleves barn.
