Plenty of History

The Anne of Cleves Barn is available for only 25 weddings and receptions between 1st April and 31st October each year. An impressive Grade I listed brick and tile barn it was built when the estate was owned by Anne of Cleves following the annulment of her marriage to King Henry VIII.

It is licensed for wedding ceremonies and can seat up to 150 for the ceremony and wedding breakfast with 200 guests in the evening.

Plenty of Time

We will never have more than one wedding a weekend and you will not be in a ‘production line’. We want you to have plenty of time to prepare and set up for your big day; including as many visits as you want beforehand, the whole of Friday to prepare the barn and no rush to leave until midday on Sunday.

Plenty of Space

Our beautiful walled garden and extensive grounds are available for your exclusive use. Outside ceremonies can take place beside our lake in our handcrafted green oak wedding pavilion. Guests can wander through the gardens, help feed the alpacas and visit our vineyard. A meandering path takes you through our new woodland and up a spiral path to the top of our mound.

Plenty of Choice

We aim to be as flexible and accommodating as possible. We do not require you to use specified caterers or suppliers but can recommend if you wish. We can supply award winning wine from our vineyard, but you are free to bring your own and we will not charge corkage. We can run a cash bar for you at no extra charge.
